Port Meadow
3 Bar-tailed Godwit: 2m, 1f. A solitary male, then a pair at 08:28, ahead of flock which arrived with other birders just after 9am.
Grey Plover: Still present, having been seen by several other birders, when I left at 10:30.
Garganey: 2m, 1f. All sightings viewed from Burgess Field Gate.

- Port Meadow & Burgess Field 2nd Jan 1.30-4pm
Flooding up to near Wolvercoate, where the feeding BH Gulls were concentrated along with 1 adult Med Gull; observed from NW Burgess Field. Wigeon and Teal concentrated just west of Field and 9 Shoveler joined them 3.47. Gull roost started to build well...

A juvenile American Golden Plover was in amongst the usual golden plover flock late afternoon today. Unfortunately it was found too late to get the news out before dark so let's hope that it sticks around longer than the last one. Record shot digiscoped...
