Rushy Common

Over the last couple of weeks many of you will have had good views of the Temminck's Stint at Rushy Common from the car park or the road. Unfortunately a few people have climbed over the fencing and entered the reserve itself. I have been asked to explain that the reserve and all the surrounding land (except for the amenity Tar Lakes on the other side of the road) is private property with no public access. If you are likely to want to use the hide and have access to the path which leads to the hide then a key can be purchased for £6 from Jane.Bowley@Oxfordshire.gov.uk. This key also gives access to the two hides at Standlake Common , where the reserve and surrounding land is again private property. In both cases it is important both for legal reasons but principally for the protection of the inhabitants of the reserves that we all respect the restrictions on our movements. Thank you for your understanding
