Iceland gulls 25th
The regular
Appleford bird still in the field.
Viewed 12:00 to 12:30 mostly roosting but preening occasionally.
The
Ardley Field Quarry bird still this morning too (per Mike Lewis,
Banburybirds).
On Spit pit
Appleford, 10:00 to 12:00, numbers of Large white headed gulls ranged from c.80 to c.320. The majority were Lesser black-backed and there was max 4 Great Black-backed and 12 Herring Gull (with one probable
argentatus). Smaller gulls numbered 1 Common and c.45 Black headed.

Great Views Around Appleford Pit Gulls
402 Canada Geese with 2 Greylags arriving together certainly made the gulls shift to the goose free side, but this chap and his large dog circling the lake in full view had not the slightest effect on anything ! So great views of Iceland flying around...
